[That last part does a fair job of making Leonardo's mood drop a little.]
I'm fine. Casey and Caduceus have been by a few times to make sure I don't waste away. I can get the door. Just me though, you know how Donnie is, doing lab work whenever he can. He's out of the apartment.
*man, he never gets to break into anything anymore...*
*also he'd call you old but this turtle is so full of guilt*
alright, alright
i'll be there soon
ish
once i figure out where the hell i gotta go this place is fing huge
*it takes him a bit - mainly to get the low down on where to go to get the to the right place, as well as pick up a little treat. The apartments aren't that hard to find though since Leo gave him directions so...........
...you know, just your typical awkward teen knocking his knuckles against the door in question - still have expecting some Donatello Hamatoâ„¢ security system to try and fry him*
[There is a brief delay before the door opens. Leonardo looks tired, but he still smiles at Raph. For once, the turtle is down a metal arm, and fully clothed. Pants, and shirt combo to cover up the damage to his chest plates.
He steps aside to motion Raph inside.]
Hey, kiddo. C'mon in. I can get you a drink or something. Water, soda, tea?
*he perks up as Leo does seem to be doing alright despite the cracks, though he doesn't have the prosthetic on right now. Not that he really expected him to if he was resting - it seemed really big in comparison*
Hey--*he answers, taking the little treat box with him as he steps in, still wearing the slightly tattered cloak that Leo gave him despite everything* Oh, uh...water's fine? Unless you have tea on but ya don't gotta make a fuss if you don't.
Make yourself comfortable. [He ushers the teenager inside, motioning for him to sit down in the living room space in the entrance of the apartment. Because I've decided I've done enough threads in the kitchen. The older turtle turns to disappear into the kitchen to see what he has. Thankfully, plenty from Casey and Cad both visiting.
The living room is lived in. Initially from Casey and Hunter being present, now Leo has taken over the space. His own touches have started to creep in from time spent here.
A blanket has been thrown over the back of the couch alongside a frankly ugly turtle shaped throw pillow. A few books have been stacked in a precarious pile on a small round table tucked next to the couch. A notepad with a glittery gel pen is there as well, and on the verge of falling off the cramped round table. Leonardo has a few notes jotted down in blue ink. A grocery list, some kind of scratchy pros and cons list of some kind.]
*once inside, he wanders into the living room to find a place to sit down, still holding the little box of goodies that he decided to bring with as Leo wanders into the kitchen. It's definitely lived in, given that there's little touches that the bigger turtle has done to the space*
*he finds a place to sit, but not before reaching to nudge the notepad and pen back to keep it from falling over, chancing a glance at it with pros and cons over...food? on it. Huh. That's new*
*the whole place just feels...quiet, without the bustle of others in it and he settles down to wait, the box in his lap*
I can survive making tea, Raph! [Is called back from the kitchen. The younger turtle can hear Leonardo tinkering around before the turtle appears in the doorway. He leans against it casually.] Electric kettle is going, so, it won't take too long.
I should have asked you sooner, how are you feeling? Doing okay after everything?
I dunno, you're mildly disarmed at the moment! *he hollers back with a smile, before he's looking up to Leo when he's returned at the door* S'no problem.
*the question makes him straighten, but he nods*
I'm...I'm okay. I just...*his fingers drum against the little box he brought, his face falling as he recalls what happened* ...m'really sorry about...what happened. I...
[His expression softens at the edges at Raph's worry.] Thankfully, everything turned out alright.
[Apparently everyone is out to ensure he doesn't starve to death while resting. Leo can't help but find some humor in that.] Like I said, I was more worried about you. I'll heal quick here. Especially since everyone seems intent on feeding me. [He can joke about it a little at least.
He steps away from the doorway to walk over, sitting down at the end of the couch with Raph.]
I appreciate the snacks. We can share them with the tea and just hang out for a while.
*he considers what happened and how his memory of the events in Wintermute were fragmented, from the wolf attack to being one to trying to eat Leo to giving up and ending up with Casey* ... *but he nods because for what he knows, it didn't get worse* Yeah, m'glad too.
*he cracks a smile at that* Well, usually get well stuff is either balloons, cards, food, or just gargoyling around the area. I figured I'd bring something that might not be considered healthy as a 'dear god I'm sick of soup or whatever' because man, being on the other side of being fed usually means eating the same ol' stuff.
*when Leo comes over, he pops the box open to show off all sorts of Japanese snacks - like taiyaki with red bean paste and other fillings, dango, konpeito, pocky and other things inside*
I wasn't sure if you preferred sweet or savory so I got a little bit of everything. It...usually goes well with tea. *also reminds him of his father a little, but he doesn't say that*
I've had a little variety by now. Mostly because I made too many jokes about grilled cheese sandwiches being my main food group during this. [He's still able to joke about it.
The spread of food present definitely is a lot of good variety. Things he will not say no to. Food here is so good, damn it.] More variety never hurts.
I'm not a fancy tea monger, but, I got something that works with these.
Pfftt, please, they're clearly not grilled cheese connoisseurs then if they can't appreciate a good one. *he gets that - the urge to joke when one probably shouldn't - but hey, at least Leo's gotten fed*
*he sets the box down with a smile*
M'not either, really. M'Leo's more into it than me but...well, I can't help but have some once and awhile.
[He laughs a little at that.] I'll be sure to text you anytime I get told off for my grilled cheese madness.
After living off recycled water and sludge for so long, tea is like a dream come true at this point.
[The kettle whistling gets the turtle back up. He grunts a little, sounding more and more like an old man at this rate.] Lemme get that, you dig in. I can bring in one mug at a time.
I'm fine, don't worry- [He starts to wave Raph off before realizing his critical error. He needs two hands.] ...Okay, I retract that slightly. I'll need help with the mugs.
Yeah, yeah, get your laughs in. I'll never live down any old man accusations ever. [He lobs back verbally, walking over to the stove. He turns the fire off under the kettle.]
The mugs are in the cupboard over the sink. Pick whatever you want. I bought a few new ones on a whim.
[The kitchen itself is small. A bit messier than usual. A few more things are left in a disarray than Leonardo would like. The place is decidedly lived in.
A drying rack is set up next to the sink itself, a few dishes and two pans have been left out to dry. A blue dish towel draped over one of the pans haphazardly. The kitchen table next to the window has another stack of books with a different notepad set next to it. The contents are notes about long term illnesses? Weird. Leonardo's preferred cowl has been draped along the back of his chair. Donnie's chair is left tucked in place where it was left. The other turtle's preferred mug with a science pun has been placed there, as if he'll be back to use it.
The fridge has pictures pinned on it of Leonardo's immediate family and friends. Pictures Leo got from Casey from home with the older turtles together, new pictures, were taken of Leo and Donnie on their trip around Folkmore. More than a few with Donnie trying to look annoyed in various locales, but on the verge of smiling. A printed out picture of Caduceus awful selfie is in there as well.
Most of the pictures present are Leo and Casey together. A few candid shots of Casey working on a project or laughing with Hunter have been added. Someone is an embarrassingly doting father.
A mid-sized schlumbergera sits on the windowsill of the largest window in the kitchen. A tiny turtle shaped watering can settled next to it. Curtains have been pinned back to let the plant soak in the sunshine.]

Apology accepted. Not that you need to worry. I know that wasn't really you talking or wanting to hurt me, Raph. I was more worried we lost you.

*he focuses on the box he brought and holds it up* I brought some snacks at least since I didn't know how long you'd be laid up for.
*he nods a little at the mention of being lost* Yeah I...Case got through to me. I'm just--glad I didn't hurt anyone else.
